canon: Sputnik Sweetheart
summary: Here
quick rundown: Sumire, the main character of the novel, meets the sophisticated, mysterious Miu at a wedding reception and as the other woman seems to see something in her, she suggests that Sumire come work for her at her import company. Sumire, having almost immediately fallen in love with Miu, agrees and the two slowly build up a close, emotionally intimate relationship. Suddenly, Miu finds it necessary to leave for Europe on business and invites Sumire along as her private secretary, to which Sumire says yes as well. They have a great trip, Sumire comfortable in Miu's company and after having finished their work in France, they go on vacation on a small Greek island. Here their relationship further progresses, when Sumire decides to confess her feelings for Miu and although Miu has feelings for her as well, she cannot reciprocate the younger woman's sexual advances. Sumire leaves the bed, disappearing into the night and isn't seen again.
canon point: Defaulting to playing Sumire early in the novel, right at the beginning of her time working for Miu, before their trip to Europe, but can otherwise play her at any canonpoint.
PLAYER
contact: PM to this journal;
thewriteway.
active times/pace: CEST/CET player. Tries to be online at least during the evening my time, but it varies. More one tag a day player than anything, but if you hit me up at the right time, I can still boomerang a bit.
brackets/prose: Definitely brackets preference, but will match. I default to present tense, but can also match other tenses.
offensive subjects/triggers: Not any.
notes: I am playing Sumire based on the Danish translation of the book. I have read the English one, but it's a very long time ago and I don't remember the terms and words used specifically for that version, so I'm doing off-the-top-of-my-head translation from the Danish to English in my portrayal here. I may reread the English one at some point, idk.
IN CHARACTER
physical affection: Sumire is generally pretty standoffish and won't initiate physical affection, but neither does she seem to shy away from it. It simply doesn't come naturally to her.
physical violence: I'd prefer not.
relationships: F/F pref. Outside memes that are specifically designed for it, I prefer not to assume any romantic CR unless relevant canon mates. Mius are always welcome.
psychic info: No powers of the sort. Ask, if your character needs to know specifics. She has strange dreams sometimes, and some trauma responses like night terrors.
magical info: No magical powers. Good with playing opposite characters who do have them.
medical info: She's noticeably undernourished; eats too little, sleeps too little and reads too much, getting too little light and fresh air.
offensive subjects/triggers: Lost her mother when she was three. If this kind of parental death is a trigger for you, let me know and I'll avoid tagging you.
OUT OF CHARACTER
backtagging: Yes, please!
threadhopping: No.
fourthwalling: Yes, in appropriate memes.
not interested in: Smut.
